About Me
I am a consultant paediatrician with training and expertise in Paediatric cardiology. I have been practicing since 1978 and can manage neonates, children, adolescents up to 18 years of age with cardiac problems and provide holistic care to these children, which involves managing other their co-existing general paediatric issues.
I can also investigate and manage more general paediatric problems, especially related to infections and respiratory problems

Research/Publications
I have participated in over a dozen clinical research projects including conducting research into the prevalence and spectrum of congenital heart diseases.
I have contributed to several cardiology chapters in the on-line EMedicine Text Book of Paediatrics and in the on line Medscape Text book of Paediatrics as well as several other paediatric and cardiology textbooks. These chapters are on cardiomyopathy, mitral valve prolapse, pericardial effusion, pulmonary stenosis, and the nutritional impact of heart diseases.
I have authored around 100 Medline indexed publications and am co-author to the textbook ‘Clinical cases in Paediatrics: DCH Clinical Examinations’.
Education
I take an active role in teaching and medical education and was made an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Brighton & Sussex Medical School. This involves regularly teaching medical students. I am currently the Deputy Lead for MSc Paediatrics and MSc Cardiology at the Brighton & Sussex Medical School.
I am also a member of the RCPCH Examinations Board and a Senior Examiner for the RCPCH examinations for the UK and overseas, which involves setting high quality examinations and examining Paediatricians in training to become a consultant.
I organise and lecture on several online and face to face courses and conferences. I am the course director for online and face to face ECG and Echocardiography courses which have run yearly for a number of years. They uniformly receive good feedback from delegates across the globe.
